Chicago Area To Lose All-Around Star...

carpenter.jpgWhen the email came last week, it was one that I selfishly hoped would never come.

But it was only a matter of time, and the time has arrived.

St. Ignatius coach Aaron Carpenter (left) is officially leaving the school.

"Joe - I picked the worse year to try and find a job, but in the end it all worked out. I will be a short drive away from my daughter Lucia in a month! I was selected to become an elementary wellness director for students, faculty and parents in Littleton, Colorado. I'm hoping to coach club soccer at Colorado United, where former DOC of FC United Liam Murphy is at. I'm looking to move to Golden, because I always wanted to live in a mountain town."

I'll have more about 'Carp' in the coming weeks.

- Joe Trost

Very sad for Illinois High School Soccer. Carp is great coach and more importantly--A great guy. Good luck and you will be missed!

I have the greatest respect for Aaron. He has done such an excellent job with his program. He will be missed. Good luck Aaron.
