For years, high school soccer has been buried and beaten down at times. It's time for the sport and the thousands of players to be in the spotlight.

This Sunday kicks off the first-ever Pepsi College Showcase at Concordia University in River Forest. From college coaches and all major media including ComcastSports, they'll all be in attendance to see eight of the area's best teams at one site. These events will continue in the fall and next spring, allowing different teams to play one another on an invite-only basis at local colleges.

Here is Sunday's Pepsi College Showcase schedule:
Glenbrook South vs. H-F, 9:30
Cary-Grove vs. Loyola, 11:15
Fenwick vs. Jacobs, 1
Huntley vs. St. Charles North, 2:45

these should be some great games. thanks joe for everything you do.

Joe couldn't find your email

anyway hope to see you at the bartlett vs waubonsie game tonight 6:30 at streamwood. I know nobody is giving bartlett a chance. I know they lost to nequa. no shame in that. on two of the weirdest and improbable goals I've ever seen. the third was on a clear offsides no call. after we peppered them in the first half and missed a pk. I think it will be a good one. we'll see?
we have some very athletic girls. Luisa Desario is a 5'3" little package of Dynamite.

Speaking of Bartlett, how do you think they'll do against St. Charles North? Also, I think you need to give Bartlett more credit. They are a pretty good team.
