(Also note - there will be other blogs throughout the day starting today...)

Hello everybody!!

For those of you who do not know me, I would love to take this first week to introduce myself. My name is Leah Lynn Fortune. I am 18 years old and a typical senior high school student, who attends Wheaton Academy. To help you get to know me, here are a few things that define who I am:

I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil - a country that has a passion for the game of soccer almost incomparable to anywhere else in the world. Little did I know that 18 years later this game would be such a large aspect of my life. I have learned and discovered that discipline, hard work and skill can take you far, but a foundation built with passion
can take you beyond the imaginable.

I currently am playing high school soccer for Wheaton Academy and absolutely loving it! In the past, I have been fortunate enough to have incredible coaches and teammates, who have helped me accomplish and chase my dreams. I developed my soccer skills with Team Chicago Pizazz, learned how to compete with Eclipse Select, discovered joy and motivation with high school soccer, ODP teams and camps helped me understand how to interact with high level players and lastly I am a member on the U-20 Brazilian National team, which gives me an even larger passion for the game then ever before.

I'm a 5-2 blue-eyed blonde chasing my dreams and attempting to change the world with a size five soccer ball. I have an incredible father and mother that have taught me everything I know, three sisters that keep me in line and push me further and further each and every day and incredible support from friends and teachers that help guide the way.

Above all, I know a God of Love that directs my paths and I will continue to run after him.

Looking forward to building relationships and getting to know all of you better and tell you a little about my life each week.

God Bless.

Christ in Me,
Leah Fortune

I am so proud of you!

"Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles." -Isaiah 40:31

LEAH is truly the greatest, hardworking, dedicated Christian soccer player of her younger
generation on a national level as well as an international level as the reports show her to be.
She is also an excellent gymnast and basketball player, yet humble about all this talent.
Interestingly, one could say “she comes by it naturally” down thru several generations.
Leah had a great grandfather who was a football, basketball player as well as coach and tennis player. Her great grandmother was an outstanding basketball player and horse back rider and her grandfather was excellent as a high-jumper, diver, and pole-vaulter; her grandmother was a swimmer, basketball and speedball player Her mother is excellent in many sports and is an excellent water skier. Her dad excelled in all sports and especially soccer; was captain of Indiana Univ. Soccer team, played on a Pro soccer team, and a soccer coach to this day. He also played on an international level as well as her uncle Mark, who is also a great soccer player and sportsman. Her aunt Jane plays volleyball, as does the entire family. Her super talented sisters are both excellent soccer players as well as cousins who participate in this, (Chloe being the youngest soccer player) and many other sports. Joe is a skateboarder, and Reb a horse-back rider. Her cousins Ted, Cody and Nick were great football players and Nick, as coach trained his team to win the HS National Championship three times.
We are blessed and Leah is blessed in this present generation as well as generations before by trusting fully in our Lord. “Our children too shall serve Him, for they shall hear from us about the wonders of the Lord. Generation yet unborn shall hear of all the miracles he did for us.” Psa. 22:30,31

That's awesome Pimentinha!!!

You're one of a kind.

Good Luck in Brasil!!

I'm proud of you. YOu are a amazing player keep up the good work
