I'll be there Saturday in Oak Park and I love watching them play. But sometimes I feel like there should be a "gag rule" on coaches during games . They should be able to tell players when to go in and out but that should be it. The vast majority of girls that you see out there have been playing 10 years and are very bright and know what to do. Coaches comments sometimes detract from them just playing the game comfortably because their listening for the coach and are not really "in" the game.
I don't think that Red and Black has a clue about what he/she is talking about. There should really be a gag rule on parents in the stands that think they know everything there is to know about the game. Coaches are paid to coach and not just make substitutions in a game. Get a clue!
Yeah Right on:
Won't disagree with parents shutting up in the stands. But no.... sorry..... some coaches are yelling at the players every minute of the game.... it accomplishes nothing and makes a lot of players very distracted. As a group, generally, the girls are very intellegent about the game and don't need the distraction. And having coached for over 10 years.... yes..... I do think I know a few things about the game.
