In the days leading up to the Pepsi Showdown College Showcase, partnered by YourSeason.com, I will be featuring players that will take part in the largest high school showcase in the Midwest.

Meet Oak Park's Casey Blaha and Stevenson's Shawn Singh, who are just two players that will be showcased on Nov. 28 at the Sports Zone in Melrose Park.

Blaha is ranked No. 1 in her class of 784 students at Oak Park. She also recorded a 32 on her ACT. The midfielder has been a four-year starter for the Huskies and plays club for Windy City Pride.

If that isn't enough, Blaha is the starting point guard for the basketball team this season. She also was the first freshman to make the varsity dance drill team and is a part of the Best Buddies Mentor Program.

Singh, a junior midfielder, owns a 3.7 GPA and is looking at DePaul, Marquette and Northern Kentucky. He was a member of the State Cup champions Eclipse Select this past summer.
