There is a time when we all realize the game of life is bigger than anything else. I received this email last week from an area soccer coach. Please take a moment to read it and lend a helping hand, because you know you would if this was your daughter.
Here is the email:
"Hello everyone! A good friend of mine was diagnosed with leukemia in November and underwent several rounds of chemotherapy and then a stem cell transplant in March. Less than 90 days after her transplant, Diana, 31, relapsed and is currently undergoing another course of treatment which will lead to a second transplant. Because of severe risk of infection, Diana has been in isolation. Her husband, Mike, took a leave of absence from teaching to take care of Diana and their 1-year old daughter, Lucy. They are now facing mounting bills. Their families are hosting a benefit fundraiser. If you are not able to attend, there is a fund to make donations. Any donation is appreciated. Please, any amount would be tremendously helpful.
