This will be a big week, and some very, very interesting blogs before I leave for Miami next weekend. It's safe to say they will open some eyes. From a coach being told to quietly leave, girls seeds for the Pepsi Showdown (www.pepsishowdown.us) will be announced and a number of college coaches will follow up with their thoughts regarding exposure and recruiting.

Get ready....see you Tuesday.

....high school vs. club soccer for recruiting...please, of course there is no comparison. club exposure to colleges is significant. but...do you mean to tell me that if forbes, dunn, ewing, and collins opted for high school soccer, they would not have had the exposure to scouts that they have had. illinois womens's high school is in spring. many of the showcase tourneys are in fall, summer and winter. if a soccer player needs a full year to be scouted, something is wrong with the process. if you go over the 2008 commitment list i guarantee that you will find a vast number of young ladies who play high school and club soccer. it is unfortunate that many of these young ladies are coerced into all year club. of course, when inrtviewed they say "it was definately theirr decision"...right...
these kids are missing out on a great experience.

Never saw the Blogs on the "coach being told to quietly leave" and where can you see the girls seeds for the Pepsi Showdown?

TROST RESPONDS: Keep reading.
