The Chicago Red Stars of Women's Professional Soccer host
a World Cup Viewing Party at Bull & Bear, 431 N. Wells St., in
Chicago.
Red Stars players and staff will be on hand as Bull & Bear is showing both Group C World Cup matches -- United States versus Algeria, and England versus Slovenia. The matches take place simultaneously at 9 a.m. Bull & Bear opens its doors at 8:30 a.m.
The morning event includes Red Stars-themed brunch specials, Red Stars ticket and merchandise giveaways.
The Red Stars have their own England and U.S. national team members of the highest caliber. Midfielders Karen Carney and Katie Chapman and defender Anita Asante of the England Women's National Team. The Red Stars have a host of U.S. WNT members, most recently defender Kate Markgraf and midfielder Megan Rapinoe .
