The Chicago Red Stars defender and captain Kate Markgraf will miss Wednesday's at Kennesaw, Ga. with an injury.

Markgraf's status is questionable for Sunday's WPS road match against the Washington Freedom. Markgraf leads a Red Stars defense that has allowed a league-low 10 goals through 11 matches.

Three Red Stars will participate in the All-Star game --  forward Cristiane, midfielder Karen Carney and goalkeeper Jillian Loyden.

The match kicks off at 7 p.m. and will be televised on Fox Soccer Channel, with a pregame show  at 6:30 p.m.
