Kosovare Asllani was named Women's Professional Soccer's Player of the
Week after lifting the Red Stars to a 1-0 upset of first-place FC Gold Pride Saturday.
The 20-year-old Swedish national-teamer, who won a "treble" last year with Swedish club Linkopings FC, scored her first goal in the 55th minute, redirecting Marian Dalmy's feed.
The goal was just the Red Stars' fourth of the year, but it was enough to provide a victory in General Manager Marcia McDermott's first game on the sideline.
