The Chicago Slaughter (6-5) indoor football team face the Rochester Raiders (8-4) in the first outdoor IFL game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.
The 6-5 Slaughter is tied with the Bloomington Extreme (6-5) one-game behind the division-leading Green Bay Blizzard (7-4).
The Slaughter are currently in a wild card spot with three weeks remaining in the regular season.
"We are peaking at the right time with our offense and defense hitting on all cylinders," Slaughter GM Alan Perkins said in a release. "Our team is 6-2 in our last eight games and we have a real shot at winning our division. We're a strong playoff contender."
The Slaughter will face the LaCrosse Spartans in their last home game of the regular season at 7:05 p.m. (CDT) on June 12 at the Sears Centre Arena.
