Alex Marcotullio to Great Britain trials

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
Northwestern freshman guard Alex Marcotullio was invited to the Great Britain U20 training camp.

A native of Warren, Mich., Marcotullio appeared in all 34 games for the Wildcats last season, averaging 4.8 points and 14 minutes.

Marcotullio qualifies to compete for Great Britain based on the fact that his maternal grandfather is a native of Scotland.

"I think this is a tremendous opportunity for Alex," Northwestern head coach Bill Carmody said in a release. "He's coming off a nice freshman season and anytime you have the chance to play against good competition and potentially face different kinds of players from all over the world, it's a great thing"
