NU lacrosse --- back to Towsend

With five NCAA titles in a row, the Northwestern women's lacrosse team is back in Towsend, Maryland and will attempt to make is six straight.

The Cats semifinal opponent is North Carolina, which beat the Cats 18-16 in Evanston on April 18.

Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller's team is led by seniors Katrina Dowd and Danielle Spencer.
Look for sophomore goalie Brianne LoManto to be a difference makers.

NU has won 22 straight NCAA tournament games and with its last win 18-8 against Duke Saturday, broke the old record of 21 set by Maryland, where the then Kelly Amonte played.
The NU coach is 23-1 in the NCAA as a coach (.958).

The first semifinal pits Maryland against Syracuse.
