Todd Stroger is back in the news, and today it's not in a good way. The Feds want his head, according to the attorney of his one-time best friend.

• Teams of officers are patrolling on foot in one of the killing zones of Chicago. In all, police have targeted 20 zones and say crime is down significantly.

• As a kid, Mayor Rahm Emanuel's mother took him to plenty of protest marches. Now protesters are showing up at his City Hall office demanding their schools not be closed.

Jimmy Buffett toured Northerly Island last summer before signing off on the expanded venue for his concert June 29.
