The Bulls waived guard John Lucas III before Tuesday night's game with the Toronto Raptors at the United Center.
Lucas, who was signed back in late November when Derrick Rose missed a game, played only a total of 10 minutes in two games during his time with the Bulls.
Non-guaranteed NBA contracts automatically become guaranteed on Jan. 10, but a player has to clear waivers by that point. Wednesday is the last day a player can be let go and clear waivers by the 10th.
