You can exhale, Bulls fans. Derrick Rose's right wrist injury has been diagnosed as just a sprain.
"X-rays were negative and we'll reevaluate him tomorrow," trainer Fred Tedeschi said after Rose was examined following the 92-73 victory over the Indiana Pacers Monday night at the United Center.
It's certainly good news that there are no broken bones, but it's too early to say how much (if any) time Rose will miss because of the injury.
"We'll see how he is tomorrow and kind of go from there," Tedeschi said.
"All the bones are in the right place, so from that point we know it's not too severe from the sprain standpoint. We'll keep our fingers crossed and hope it stays that way."
"He kind of tweaked his ankle, too, but thank God he had his braces on. That helped him a lot."
