Defending three key to Bulls' Xmas win

| 1 Comment | No TrackBacks

NEW YORK -- The last time the Bulls played the New York Knicks, the Knicks made 16 three-pointers to score a 120-112 victory at the United Center on Nov. 4.

The Bulls have gotten better closing out to the three-point line since then. How much better will be on display today.

"I think we're better, but that's their strength," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. "They put a lot of pressure on you in a lot of different ways, so it's not only covering the line, but you have to take care of the ball in the pick-and-roll. You have to take care of the ball, the paint and then react out to the line.

"Once they get going, if they get going early, it makes for a long night. They're gonna take 25 to 30 [three-pointers] and we have to be ready and we have to challenge them."

The game certainly will have a Christmas-y appearance. The Bulls will wear their tradition red road uniforms, while the Bulls will wear green.

Nice work Gar, We saw the Bulls lose to New York . Thanks for the Christmas gift, now tell us how much better the Bulls will play when Melo is wearing a Knicks jersey. I can't see this team getting out of the first round of the playoffs. Miami has it's "Big 3" , Celtics are as good as ever, Knicks are much improved, and will be even better with Melo. But is O.K. Gar, you just keep Mr. Reinsdorf and his buddies under the luxury tax , after all , that's your job isn't it ? Love the Bulls, but as with all Chicago's professional teams, $$ comes first !
