Rose out tonight with stiff neck

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

DENVER -- Derrick Rose won't play tonight when the Bulls face the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center because of a stiff neck.

Rose said his condition improved slightly after receiving treatment all day, but it still wasn't enough to allow him to play.

The Bulls conclude the seven-game road trip Saturday night at Sacramento. Rose isn't sure what his status will be for that game.

"It's still too early to tell about tomorrow," he said. "I don't know where it came from. Probably sleeping or changing beds."

C.J. Watson will start at point guard. The Bulls signed John Lucas III this afternoon and he arrived at the Pepsi Center a little more than two hours before game-time. He will be in uniform tonight and coach Tom Thibodeau said he has no reservations about playing him.
