Gibson expected to play tonight vs. Lakers

LOS ANGELES -- Following an extensive exam on Monday, including an MRI, Taj Gibson's foot problem was declared minor and the Bulls power forward will try to play tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.

The Bulls' shootaround this morning was nothing more than a walk through, so Gibson will test the injury - a pinched nerve on the outside of his right foot - before the game and a final determination will be made then.

'He said he's feeling a lot better today, so that was encouraging," coach Tom Thibodeau. "We didn't think it was anything major, but we were being precautionary [Monday] going to the doctor. We'll see how he feels tonight. If he's ready to go, he goes."

So, is this the pre-cursor to Boozer coming back. Does Taj Gibson become the defacto roster move? If not, then who goes. I would assume because gibson is playing well (unless he's REALLY hurt), the Bulls will make an alternative choice. My vote is for Kurt Thomas. Thoughts?
