Bulls trim roster to 13

| 1 Comment | No TrackBacks

The Bulls trimmed their roster to 13 on Thursday by waiving John Lucas III, former Illinois star Roger Powell and Kyle Weaver.

The Bulls waiving both Lucas and Weaver was a bit of a surprise because they were battling for the third point guard spot behind Derrick Rose and C.J. Watson. Look for the Bulls to keep an eye on the waiver wire over the next few days and possibly grab a point guard as other teams trim their rosters.

I've been debating my buddies heatedly about Carmelo Anthony for Yoakim Noah. I don't care how many points he can score or Anthony's allegedly super-star status.

I was sold on Noah the first day when he showed up with the infamous seer-sucker suit. I realized then this guy was a free spirit and would play his heart out for you if just given the opportunity. he has DONE just that!

No, he is not a big time scorer, but Anthony is not going in the paint and get those hard defensive rebounds Noah does. If you touch Anthony he will howl like a little kid. I don't need to see that. Just keep playing ball. Noah does the dirty work and simply keeps playing hard and smiling.

Get rid of Luol Deng if someone needs to be traded. Package draft choices, money if necessary. Deng should be doing what Carmelo does! We finally get a point guard - D.Rose - and a center - Noah - who can actually run the floor and want to break it up. Get Luol Deng to run the floor with reckless abandon to the bucket and we will have an offensive threat at small forward.

I'm not impressed with Deng!!

My Humble Thoughts!
