Derrick Rose said his sprained left wrist improves each day, but it doesn't sound as if the Bulls' point guard will be in the lineup Tuesday night for the road game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Rose didn't do much in practice on Monday. He wants to play in the team's only game this season in the city where he played college ball, but the organization is taking a more cautious approach.
"Right now, they're just taking day-by-day," Rose said. "I've been getting a lot of treatment. [General manager] Gar [Forman] was telling me, 'Don't rush it. If anything, wait until this weekend or Friday's game.'
"I want to play, definitely, because it's Memphis, but if they tell me to wait, I'll wait."
When asked if Rose would play, coach Vinny Del Negro said: "Probably not. We're gonna see how he feel tomorrow at shootaround, but he didn't do much in practice today. Let's just see how he feels."
