Gooden out with groin injury

Drew Gooden missed the home game Tuesday against the Hawks because of his sore left groin. Coach Vinny Del Negro hopes Gooden, who has been playing through the injury, will benefit from rest. The Bulls next play Friday at home against Toronto.

Those groin injuries can really linger. I hope he can get back and play at a high level. We need his scoring punch inside. Also, da Bulls should try and get a mid-level big man who has some skills. It will take the load off Gooden and allow him to freelance a little more.
