After getting bounced in the Eastern Conference finals each of the last two years, the Detroit Pistons made a bold move Monday in acquiring Allen Iverson from the Denver Nuggets for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess.
It's a bold move, but I doubt it will have the desired effect and get the Pistons back to the Finals this season.
Iverson still is a dynamic scorer and there's no doubt he'll put up big numbers and make the Pistons more potent offensively. But Billups was the heart and soul of the team. He ran the offense, led the perimeter defense and was a vocal leader in the locker room.
Iverson will be playing mostly point guard, which will be interesting because he plays more like a shooting guard.
