A day after practicing with contact for the first time, Larry Hughes said his right shoulder is feeling fine and he hopes to return to the active roster Thursday night when the Bulls host the Dallas Mavericks at the United Center.
"I did a full practice [Monday]," Hughes said after the Bulls' shootaround Tuesday. "We wanted to see how it felt the day after a practice [with] full contact and it feels pretty good. I'll continue my treatment, continue my therapy and, hopefully, get back on the court."
If he gets through Wednesday's practice without any issues, Hughes -- who is wearing a protective harness -- wants to play against the Mavericks. He suffered the separated shoulder in a preseason game on Oct. 22.
