Illinois River: A lesson from flooding

I pulled together my thoughts for Sunday's column from the flyover of the record flood crest rolling down the Illinois River on Wednesday.

I did both a helicopter ride over and an on-ground observation of a breached levee with folks from The Nature Conservancy. Michael Reuter did the YouTube video above, partially while we doing the observations.
