Maybe it is more just recognizing his greatness and the importance of winning actual sports titles.
There are no native Chicagoans at Wrigley Field or Wrigleyville for that matter. They're all transplanted people from every where else in the country. Native Chicagoans can't afford to even enter Wrigleyville for a walk, let alone a game.
