Wild of the Week: Bald eagle in Orland Hills

Joe Paton had a brush in Orland Hills earlier this month with a wild experience becoming more common around Chicago outdoors.

``When I came home from work, I saw this large bird flying around our cul-de-sac,'' he emailed. ``As I pulled into the driveway, I realized it was a bald eagle. I've never seen a bald eagle here in the 13 years I've lived here or even in the immediate area.''

He was able to grab some photos before it flew off.

``Not the best quality, but still pretty cool,'' he emailed.

Got that right, on something becoming more frequent around Chicago and the suburbs.
