Andy Klocek caught and released this 38-pound, 7-ounce carp Thanksgiving on the Chicago River.
The ``beautiful monster,'' as Paul Pezalla called it, is the heaviest documented carp caught from the Chicago River.
That tops by 5 ounces, the previous unofficial record for Chicago River carp, caught by Pezalla in November, 2008.
``It was caught in the North Branch, within 50 yards of where I caught the 38-2,'' Pezalla emailed.
