Wild of the Week: Hawk on rat, Chicago style

Bill McMahon caught this prime example of natural rodent control in Chicago and it earns a very worth WOTW.

He had watched this several times and finally photographed it near the North Branch of the Chicago River at Belmont and Rockwell on the Northwest Side.

Alan Anderson from the Chicago Audubon Society identified it as an immature red-tailed hawk.
