Radio Waves: Openlands on Hackmatack authorization

Jerry Adelmann and Lenore Beyer-Clow, both from Openlands, discuss the authorization of the Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge this afternoon on ``Outside.''

That is intreesting in itself, but Adelman, president and CEO of Openlands, and Lenore Beyer-Clow, policy director for Openlands, also touched on the difficulties in getting the establishment of the Grand Kankakee Marsh NWF, which has dragged on undecided for nearly 15 years while Hackmatack flew through in just a few years.

"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. Rebroadcasts of the show are at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.
