Radio waves: Meg Matthews on sustainability at the Shedd

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Meg Matthews discusses the broad sustainability programs at the Shedd Aquarium this afternoon on "Outside" on WKCC-FM (91.1).

The sustainability spokesperson for the Shedd talks about such details as the new beehives there and the personal meaning of sustainability.

Next time you are at the Shedd, take a closer look outside. The gardens are quite packed into very small areas. They are also quite beautiful.

And productive. There are tidbits such as the excess produce is given to the Pacific Garden Mission, a few blocks west of the Shedd.

"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. Rebroadcasts of the show are at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays. This week's rebroadcast was shuffled as noted and will be noted again on the weekend.

Laurel Soper, the web tech and digital media person for KCC, has put together the podcast system here.
