John Rogner talks about the IDNR budget and staffing issues this afternoon on "Outside."
I also delve into the larger question of modern urban wilds with the assistant IDNR director. I've known Rogner for many years, going well back into his career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
I enjoyed getting enough time to ask Rogner about the connection between the Mississippi River watershed and the Great Lakes.
"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. Rebroadcasts of the show are at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.
