Dan Sims talks about the hows and whys of fishing the Des Plaines River this afternoon on "Outside."
One of the marvels of Chicago's urban fishing world is the revival of fishing the Des Plaines, a revival that has led to the formation of Des Plaines River Anglers Association. Sims is president and a founder.
Because Sims is also the namesake of Sims Spinners, we also get into spinners and umbrella rigs.
"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. Rebroadcasts of the show are at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.
