Chicago outdoors: Showtime

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Though the end of outdoors show season around Chicago nears, there is a nicely varied collection this week.

The big one is the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show, which runs through Sunday at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis.

For paddlers, the big show of the winter is Canoecopia, which is Friday through Sunday at Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.

On Friday, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 27 Fishing and Sports Show is at the famous 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park. It's $20 in advance at Evergreen Park Police Station or $25 at door. It runs 7-11 p.m.

On Saturday, Chicagoland Muskie Hunters chapter of Muskies Inc. holds its Indoor Fishing Flea Market at Rolling Meadows High School. It is a good event the years I have visited it.
