No, this is not a find this month,
it is a tight shot from a nice collection my kids and I found last year in early May.
I have looked for morels at two of my surefire spots over the last three days.
I say looking, because I am not really hunting yet; just checking a couple spots. And have found nothing.
Yet, I hunt on.
My hope is somebody finds one, so I can start Morel of the Week on April 1 on the Sun-Times outdoors page. Reports have been spreading north in postings on Morel Mania.
I usually only run MOTW around May. But nothing has been usual about this end to winter and beginning to spring.
