Wild of the Week: Kestrel eating at Northerly Island

Carl Vizzone photographed this American kestrel feeding on the bounty of Northerly Island on Feb. 18 during Polar Adventure Day.


Vizzone is one of the great chroniclers of the Chicago outdoors along the Chicago lakefront, so I am not surprised he had his camera and caught this.

He also caught a neat short video, but unfortunately I am an idiot and can't figure out how to upload it properly.

At any rate, Vizzone said, ``Nature is a wonderful thing. Please share with others.''
