Radio waves: Jed Hertz on Kankakee/Willow Slough CBCs

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

On his third appearance on "Outside," Kankakee birder Jed Hertz talks about the meaning of the Christmas Bird Counts for Kankakee Valley and Willow Slough.

We touched on such things as the surprising lack of bobwhite quail in the Kankakee Valley CBC this year. And the growing number of bald eagles being sighted.

It is Hertz's third visit to "Outside," tying him with biologist Steve Sullivan for the most visits.

"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. Rebroadcasts of the show are at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Laurel Soper, the web tech and digital media person for KCC, has put together the podcast system here.
