Waiting for a day like today to point out I made the lead recipe for the second time in the thiree years of the Jay The Joke Holiday Cookbook.
The honor came from experimenting with the breasts of this Canada goose, shot on opening day with guide Jeff Norris in the western suburbs.
I ended up calling the recipe, ``HOLIDAY-FLAVORED BONE-IN WILD GOOSE BREAST.''
Yes, I do enjoy cooking. It's one of the great extensions of the outdoors.
Actually, I think Bill McCormick, the brains behind JaytheJoke.com, just likes the idea that I submit wild fowl recipes. It's something different.
The first year, I submitted my favorite recipe for grilling dove breasts.
BTW, if you're a Chicago sports fan, JaytheJoke.com is a lot of fun.
