It only seems apt to run the Stray Cast here.

After all, this Web log is named for the Stray Cast, which has snapped off the end of the outdoors column in the Sun-Times on Wednesdays since April 2, 2003,

That front-page spread in the floppy newspaper last week touting its football coverage reminded me of cheesebait: you know, putting what was once something else to some use.

Speaking of cheesy newspapers.... was driving at night down I-88 past the Daily Herald building..... the lights in two letters were burned out so that it said "Daily Head".

I thought it was classic, my girl did not find it amusing.
