John Kidd Jr., one of the founders of Fishin' Buddies! 20 years ago, talks about the latest programs of FB and why he continues to do it on "Outside" this afternoon.
Kidd, an Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame member, talks about FB, but takes it well beyond to broader issues of getting urban youth into the outdoors, especially Chicago youth in Chicago outdoors and beyond.
And he and I delved into the spiritual elements of what he does. And Kidd didn't shy away from acknowledging that component.
"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. Rebroadcasts of the show are at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.
