Unless it swam over from Indiana, you can probably thank an "illegal" Night Stocker for this beautiful fish.
Anglers have asked the DNR nicely for years and yet Illinois steadfastly refuses to increase this native species.
Why would anyone want to stock illegal Walleye in Lake Michigan. We have such wonderful Lake Michigan biologists that KNOW everything and care so much about us Perch fisherman. Oh yes thank you biologists for the July closer on Perch.
