Shabbona Lake: 61 muskie rescued

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

The muskie rescue on Indian Creek today returned 61 muskies and three hybrid striped bass to Shabbona Lake.

The hybrid stripers were pretty good sized ones.

And those 61 muskies were short of the record number rescued in earlier years.

Here's the word from Duane Landmeier:

We had about 30 men and children helping on the rescue below Shabbona` s dam in Indian Creek.
We successfully netted 61 muskies that were 27"- 43" in size. We also caught 3 Hybrid Striped Bass that were 18:-23" and returned them to the lake.
Thank you to everyone who helped.
