Josh Engel talks about birds around the world and locally, and delves into a few international issues, on "Outside" this afternoon with Joel Greenberg and me; and the big news is rebroadcasts begin with the Engel show.
"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee.
And add this. Mike Savage, our executive producer and also the general manager of WKCC, has announced rebroadcasts of "Outside" will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.
So the Engel show will be the first rebroadcasts this Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
I am proud of that.
Engel is a research scientist for the bird division of The Field Museum and tour leader for Tropical Birding.
If you're a local birder, you will notice his insights both around his beloved Evanston area and along the Chicago lakefront.
And I found it interesting to hear him talk about what is happening on the international scene with conservation as a result of the money brought in by eco-tourism. And a bit about international politics, including the royal wedding.
I don't think he used that word eco-tourism. I did.
Laurel Soper, the web tech and digital media person for KCC, has put together a better podcast system set up here. I had not noticed last week's posted. Hopefully, they will be caught up today.
