Wake for Frank Didier, president of the Evanston Boat Ramp Association, is tonight.

Here are the details from Marv Chait:

It give me much sadness to inform the members of the Evanston Boat Ramp Association that our President Frank Didier passed away. He will be waked at Simkins Funeral Home in Morton Grove on Thursday June 16th from 5-9. The Funeral will be Friday June 17th at 10:00am at Simkins Funeral Home. He will be missed.

Mr. Didier checked in on Lake Michigan issues with me at least once a year. He was dedicated and stayed up on things.

I think Chait put it well in a follow up:

Frank was always promoting the Evanston Launch Ramps and the Evanston Boat Ramp Assn. As President, he made every meeting and I would hear him on the marine radio early morning, telling us were the fish was. His best buddy, Bill Sonne were together fishing and hunting and attended the State Perch Forcast every time. When other fishing clubs are losing members, Frank kept the numbers high.
I will miss him....
