"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee.

Strang, who works for the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, is fascinating fount of information on much in the natural world, but his love is singing insects.

And that shows in his project. His developing Singing Insects of the Chicago Region is available in draft form by e-mailing him at cstrang@dupageforest.com. Eventually, he will post if on the FPDDC site. When that happens, I post a note here and on Facebook.

Laurel Soper, the web tech and digital media person for KCC, has put together a better podcast system set up here.

There is a Facebook page for Outside with Dale Bowman and Joel Greenberg.
