Burnout by those fighting for conservation is one of the more interesting points touched on by Mike Clifford in discussions with Joel Greenberg and me this afternoon on "Outside."

"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee.
Clifford, the conservation director for the Illinois Smallmouth Alliance, discussed projects along the Fox and Kankakee rivers, touching on specific endeavors and broader conservation issues.
One area Mike touched on and I probably should have followed up on more--maybe the next time--was burnout by those most intensely involved in the push for conservation. Both personally and from decades of covering the conservationists, it is a real issue.
Laurel Soper, the web tech and digital media person for KCC, has a solid podcast system set up here.
