Finally.
On the fourth day of looking, in the rain a few minutes ago, I finally found my first morel mushroom of the year.
Then several more with the help of our 6-year-old.
Hopefully, this means they are being found and Morel of the Week nominations to straycasts@sbcglobal.net will be coming for Sundays in the Sun-Times outdoors.
