Illinois hunting: Turkey reporting fixed

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Turkey hunters in Illinois who had trouble reporting their turkeys the last couple days should be able to do it now, and are asked to do so as the data is important.

Here's the explanation from IDNR wild turkey program manager Paul Brewer:

Harvest Reporting System problems resulted in Illinois wild turkey hunters being unable to report their harvest by phone on part of the day on Sunday, May 1, 2011 and Monday, May 2, 2011. The Illinois DNR asks anyone who was unable to report their wild turkey harvest by phone or by internet on May 1 or May 2 to please try again, as the harvest information is important to IDNR wildlife managers. The problem was resolved at around 9 a.m. on Monday, May 2.
