Radio waves: Norm Minas on "Outside"

| 10 Comments | No TrackBacks

I debated using one of my stock photos of Norm Minas, but decided to stick with the standard studio shot when guests appear on "Outside,'' which features Norm this afternoon.

"Outside" airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC, a start-up public radio station in Kankakee. Click here for online listening options.

I have been out with Norm on various expeditions in my life, all along the Kankakee River or tribs of it. It was with Norm that I earned entry to the 32-degree club for smallmouth bass fishermen.

Norm is one of two thought to have fished all 20 some miles of shoreline at Kankakee River State Park.

Co-host Joel Greenberg has the perspective of somebody who doesn't fish regularly and has other interests. This was a different show the than the first four.

We touch on some of the efforts Norm has been involved in to protect the Kankakee watershed.

There is a Facebook page for Outsiide with Dale Bowman and Joel Greenberg.

Catering to your female audience with that photo.

More like our rock and rolling audience

Mr. Bowman, aren't you tired to taking photos of my father yet?
Also, Dad, why are you glaring at the camera? Are you tired of getting your photo taken?

And I do sincerely Hope I will not be finding out you have legions of fangirls out there, for rock and roll or females in general.

Your dad's visage makes a fascinating subject.

Didn't get to sleep last night 'til the morning came around.

Must have all those screaming teenage girls outside your hotel room keeping you awake all night . ..........Just like the beetles in 67 ..............must be tuff ......

I got three words . . . random drug tests.

It's called coffee old man.
You ought to look into trying some soon after getting out of bed.
Works wonders.

why do you think Ken, Dale and i carry sticks. It's to beat off the legions of female fans. It's a burden we bear.

darjeeling not coffee.

It's not being in the water that makes me look like that

"It's not being in the water that makes me look like that"

That I understand, but darjeeling?
