Buck of the Week: Passing the tradition

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Illinois' deer hunting tradition is being passed along as this Buck of the Week shows.

BOTW12-15-10rs

Marc Nack, a 20-year-old from Lombard, shot his dandy buck in Johnson County during the first firearm season in Illinois deer hunting in late November.

It was one of the 98,700 deer reported during the two split firearm seasons.

I am not sure what to make of the t-shirt.

BOTW, a celebration of Illinois deer hunting, appears on the outdoors page of the Sun-Times each Wednesday from about November through about January (probably longer this year). An extended online version appears here, usually by midnight Tuesday.

E-mail BOTW nominations to straycasts@sbcglobal.net.
